Your emotions are important

Emotions are tricky.

Like the constellations of stars, they can overlap and interchange. Often, telling one emotion from another can be a difficult process. If you ever manage to, the reasons behind experiencing them can often be incomplete - there might not even be a reason.

This means that explaining how you feel to someone can be frustrating because they find it difficult to understand. They'll say things that aren't helpful, or they'll say something like "I don't know what to say."

However, often it's not in the saying. It's in the listening. For someone to feel cared for, listened to and genuinely wanted, is very important in helping them to feel better.

So, if you're feeling off your best, whether it's sadness, stress, anger, loneliness, anxiety, fear or a combination of any of those, let's get you back to happy. Sound good?

What's the idea?

Get Some Space is all about helping.

Helping yourself, helping others and asking for help are the three main ideas.

We provide free self-help resources, methods of giving other people a boost and live chat with volunteers.
